Orłowo is just such a place in Gdynia – a seaside district beloved by rulers, artists, writers and photographers.

As early as the 18th century the king Jan III Sobieski took a liking to an embankment in Orłowo, walking along the morainial hills of the cliff coast marvelling over the romantic atmosphere of the place. Orłowo was the spot where Stefan Żeromski was seeking inspiration when writing Wiatr od morza [Wind from the Sea], and Antoni Suchanek unfolded easels every morning and painted dreamy seascapes.
